WHS proposes new AP courses, more post-secondary preparation

Posted November 20, 2019 District leaders have proposed new course registration recommendations for the 2020-2021 school year to strengthen secondary to post-secondary preparation. Among the proposals: the addition of two Advanced Placement courses, more internship opportunities and dual credit, registered apprenticeships and ACT preparation. Westside High School Principal Jay Opperman and District Director of Secondary Teaching and Learning Kim De La Cruz presented their recommendations to the Board of Education on November 19. High School Parent-Teacher Conferences Take Place Oct. 14 and 15

Posted Oct. 3, 2019 WHS Parent-Teacher conferences for the fall semester will take place Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14 and 15.  On both days, conferences run from 4 to 8 p.m. Teachers will be at tables either near the entrance of the high school or in the main gym.  Information on teacher locations will be available.
