Service Learning Council to Hold Rummage Sale on Feb. 24

Westside’s Service Learning Council will hold its annual rummage sale on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the WHS Courtyard. There will be an abundance of items, including toys, clothing, collectibles, exercise equipment, tools, electronics, books, DVDs, games and more. Pancake Feed and Soccer Clinic Set for Feb. 24

The seventh Annual Westside Soccer Pancake Feed and Youth Soccer Clinic will be held on Saturday, Feb.  24.  Pancakes will be served by The Flapjack Guys in the Westside Café from 8 to 11 a.m.  The Soccer Clinic will take place at Westside’s Phelps Field from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. (or inside if inclement weather). Spirit Night Set for Feb. 2

The Westside Athletic Club is sponsoring Spirit Night at WHS on Friday, Feb. 2, starting at 5:45 p.m.  Students, staff, and the community can attend the girls basketball game at 5:30 p.m. and then the boys game at 7:15 p.m. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 200 students and there will also be Freddy’s ice cream and free popcorn.  The Coliseum will be open, as well, to sell Westside gear.   …

January is the month to register for 2018-19 classes. Students, the process for registration is: Consult with your parent(s), advisor, and the Course Handbook (Course Planning Guide 2018-19) to plan out your courses for next year. Enter your courses in your cart on the scheduler. Meet with your parent(s) and advisor to discuss your plan, your classes for next year, and your future. Meet with your counselor to confirm your courses and finish the registration process.

Warrior Theatre Performs in Lincoln, Students Honored

ATSC Starts Season in Wisconsin

The Amazing Technicolor Show Choir started their competition season this past weekend by placing first Runner-Up at the Viterbo 101 Show Choir Invitational in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Warrior Theatre Presents The Wolves

“The Wolves” is a brand new, debut play by Sarah DeLappe. An Off-Broadway hit and a 2017 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, the play follows a girls indoor soccer team as they warm-up for games over the course of a season. Warrior Theatre will present the play on Thursday, November 16 at Westside High School at 5:30 p.m. and November 17-19 at Westside Middle School at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
