World Language Department Produces Be Kind Video

Deadline for yearbook senior ads is now Dec. 20

Senior portraits for yearbook need to be submitted by Dec. 20

Posted Nov. 14 Senior portraits for the 2018-19 Shield need to be submitted by December 20, 2018, or it is not guaranteed that it will be in the yearbook. Adkins named Hagel Public Service Scholar

Posted November 5, 2018 Ryan Adkins, a junior at Westside High School, has been selected as a Chuck Hagel Public Service Scholar. Miller-Johnson and Brodsky Earn NSAA’s Believer & Achievers Award

Nolan Miller-Johnston and Madigan Brodsky have been named 2018-2019 Believer & Achievers Award Winners by the NSAA. Both were named winners for Westside High School; Brodsky was also named one of 48 overall winners from across the state of Nebraska. All of the students nominated for the Believers & Achievers awards program represent the very best of Nebraska’s high schools, outstanding leaders within their schools and communities.



Posted October 25, 2018 Westside High School Business teacher Jeanette Kleppinger has been named the 2018 Entrepreneurship Educator of the Year by the Nebraska Entrepreneurship Task Force. The group, also known as NETForce, recognizes educators who have made significant contributions toward the organization, implementation, development or evaluation of entrepreneurship education in Nebraska. WHS to Host Playoff Game Oct. 26

Westside will host Lincoln East on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in round one of the Class A state football playoffs. Since this is an NSAA playoff game, all tickets must be purchased. Warrior Theatre to Present Sister Act: The Musical

Warrior Theatre will present Sister Act: The Musical from Thursday, Oct. 25, through Sunday, Oct. 28. The show is based on the hit movie of the same name starring Whoopi Goldberg. Kaitlyn Hanna Now a State Golf Champ

Congratulations to Westside High’s Kaitlyn Hanna, who tied for first place at the girls Class A state golf tournament in Norfolk!   She finished with an outstanding 4-over-par score of 76 in wet conditions.
