WHS Soccer Pancake Feed and Youth Clinic Set for March 2

Posted Feb. 13 The eighth Annual Westside Soccer Pancake Feed and Youth Soccer Clinic will be held on Saturday, March 2. Pancakes will be served by The Pancake Man in the Westside Café from 8 to 11 a.m.  The soccer clinic will be held on Phelps Field (or inside if inclement weather) from 10:30 a.m. until noon.  Proceeds benefit the Westside Soccer programs. Art Department Selling T-Shirts in Support of Excellence in Design

Posted Feb. 11 The WHS Art Department has t-shirts for sale in support of its annual Excellence in Design Senior Art Show.  Ordering can be done online at this link.  Cost is $15 a shirt. Each year, seniors in the department are invited to participate in the fourth quarter art show. BOARD NAMES TWO FINALISTS FOR SUPERINTENDENT

Posted Jan. 11 The Westside Community Schools Board of Education has selected two Superintendent finalists for the district. They are: Dr. Mike Lucas, Superintendent, York Public Schools (Nebraska) Dr. Melissa Poloncic, Superintendent, Douglas County West Community Schools (Nebraska) These candidates visited Westside Community Schools Tuesday and Wednesday for interviews with Board members. Senior portraits for yearbook need to be submitted by Dec. 20

Adkins named Hagel Public Service Scholar

Posted November 5, 2018 Ryan Adkins, a junior at Westside High School, has been selected as a Chuck Hagel Public Service Scholar.
